There may not be an 'I' in 'Team', but there is a 'Mii'.

And to prove it, Team Traction is updating the Our People page with these digital representations of ourselves.

Proceed with Permission

In today's marketing- and advertising-wary world, it's no longer acceptable to merely make noise, bombard and interrupt. As marketers and advertisers, we have to engage and interact. And in order to do that, we have to ask for permission.

Marketing/blogging guru Seth Godin says that permission-based marketing "is the privilege (not the right) of delivering anticipated, personal and relevant messages to people who actually want to get them.

"It recognizes the new power of the best consumers to ignore marketing," he goes on. "It realizes that treating people with respect is the best way to earn their attention."

This is especially true when we can now leverage mediums that put our message right smack dab in the middle an audience's day-to-day. Namely, its inbox.

So, if you've ever been behind the wheal of a spam-mobile, been part of an email marketing campaign, considered launching an email marketing campaign, or been on the receiving end of an email marketing campaign, this green light will take you to our Outside the Warehouse blog post on everything you need to know about Permission-based Marketing.

And if you just want to see what the Spam-mobile looks like, click on "spam-mobile" in the image above.

3..2..1.. Traction's Recent Launches

With numerous new website blast-offs in the last two months, Traction's internet launch pad has been hotter than NASA during the Kennedy administration. So, next time you're diddling around cyberspace, head on over to these Traction-approved (and built) destinations and enjoy the view.

StartPrayingForRain.com  After 10 years of turning the dark and dreary into the dazzlingly drizzly, everybody's favorite engagement ring promotion has secured a prime piece of cyberspace real estate. The two-in-one microsite splits the genders right down the middle with a Guys Area and a Girls Area. Each side mixes Pray for Rain promotional information with the pre- and post-engagement advice that matters to its audience.

Medley-Insurance.com  Medley/Turrentine & Associates is an insurance company, and, by rule, insurance company websites are supposed to be the opposite of riveting. So when MT&A asked us to break that rule for their new website, we jumped at the opportunity. The result is an insurance company website with a simple and fun design that won't put you to sleep, and a navigation you won't get lost in - just ask yourself if you want to 'Poke Around a Bit' or 'Get Things Done.'

AmericanQualityExteriors.com  For the folks at American Quality Exteriors, 'Quality' isn't just a middle name. Thanks to Quality products, Quality people and Quality service, AQE has become one of the largest direct-sales exterior home improvement companies in America. The only thing they were lacking was a Quality website. We were happy to oblige.

LastFrontierCouncil.org  The Last Frontier Council is the governing body for Central, Western and Southwestern Oklahoma's Boy Scouts of America membership and activities. Looking to take their explorations into uncharted internet territory, LFC asked us to guide them through their last frontier. Our advice and artwork led the way to what is now LastFrontierCouncil.org

Ad2OKC.com  Ad2OKC, a social club for Oklahoma City's advertising and marketing professionals under the age of 32, recently appointed the first new generation of board members in the club's short history. Naturally, this fresh group of leaders felt a fresh look was in order. With an open, inviting design and a dynamic home page that reflects the ever-evolving nature of the club and its members' careers, the new Ad2OKC.com is about as fresh as it gets.

OKCTheta.com  If you know anything about sorority sisters (or women in general) you know they live for the moments they can all get together and be really loud. Case in point, the Kappa Alpha Theta Oklahoma City Alumnae Chapter. These Theta ladies needed a swank online hot spot they could gather around for the all latest OKC ΚΑΘ news, and because they're probably the prettiest women most of us have ever talked to, we made them a killer website. And by 'killer' we mean 'pretty and stuff.'

Traction Conquers Facebook

Targeted relevant ads, brand-specific pages and 100 million active users were more than enough to convince Traction that the advertising platform on the world's most trafficked social network is an incredibly viable avenue for several of our clients.

Having been members of Facebook since it was opened to Oklahoma's colleges (not to mention a recent immersion into all social media), Traction's social media team has an intrinsic working knowledge of when, where, and how to utililze Facebook in building a brand.

In recent weeks, Traction has been busy launching and maintaining Facebook pages and ads for B.C. Clark's Pray for Rain Promotion, the B.C. Clark Jingle, Ad2OKC and Traction Marketing Group.

If you already have a Facebook profile, clicking on any of the above will take you to that specific Facebook page. Once there, we would love for you to become a Fan of that page and let the social graph have its way.

If you've yet to set up your own Facebook profile, what are you waiting for? Click here to join the 100 million and counting. Then go to those pages above, become a Fan and let the social graph have its way.

And if you're a Facebook skeptic, our Why You Should Care About Facebook post in the Outside the Warehouse blog will show you why advertising and establishing a presence on the social networking giant might be exactly what you need.
