Become a Change Agent
|
Probably one of the coolest, funnest, most rewarding web projects we've ever been a part of is now live for your viewing (and world-changing) pleasure. Inspired by Gandhi himself, WhatIdChange.com
is a platform from which users can tell the world what they would change about the world around them. By tapping into the crowdsourcing nature of social media, WhatIdChange.com gives the voice of change to anybody with an idea, and, through voting and commenting, lets the cream rise to the top. Here's a step-by-step on how to be the change you want to see in the world.

On fire for IgniteOKC
|
On Thursday, January 14th, a group of OKC's brightest movers and shakers from all walks of life came together and pulled off the biggest socially promoted event Oklahoma City has ever seen. The event was IgniteOKC
(part of an international network of locally-held events featuring rapid-fire, auto-timed presentations), and Traction was instrumental in making it happen. To be exact, the event's web design/development, Twitter page, info flyers, t-shirts, and an omnipotent Keynote presentation that automated the whole event all came from within the friendly confines of Warehouse127... which is where the Ignite crew will soon be meeting to begin planning for IgniteOKC 2.

The first-ever OMNi Award goes to...
|
That's right - Traction! Not only were we lucky enough to be honored at the first-ever OMNi Awards
, we started the night (and the awards) off right by receiving the first OMNi Award to ever exchange hands. Presented by Oklahoma Media Network for marketing efforts that achieved quantifiable results, our OMNi was the result of a successful crisis management effort handled solely through social media channels. How did we did we divert disaster in 140 characters or less? Here's how.

'Please DO NOT feed the animals'
|
Like a welcome mat of danger, this message now greets anyone brave enough to climb the stairs at Warehouse127. Thanks to the ingenious usage of some chainlink fence and corrugated metal, what once was the Design Loft is now affectionately referred to as The Cage. And like a pack of twitchy, captive animals, that's where you can view, in its natural habitat, the elusive Traction design/development team.

Allied ARTini
As much as we like to "partake" of all that Allied ARTini has to offer, this year we're proud to say Traction will have a hand in creating the promotional materials for Allied Arts' annual fundraising event. The theme - ARTini Time. Our inspiration - gin, vermouth, and long lunch hours.

11 hunks of metal
No, we're not talking about a Guns N' Roses reunion tour. That's how many medals we're bringing home from this year's ADDY Awards. Sure, we come up with a few good ideas here and there, but the real credit goes to a lineup of awesome clients that lets us do our thing.
