If you build it, they will come

Unfortunately, in today's social media-centric world, people are more concerned with building a Twitter list than a marketing-focused email list. We're all about short, easily digestible messages (like this entire email), but, OMG!, 140-characters of teeny bopper shorthand does little to project your professionalism onto anyone. That's why we swear by email marketing. If done right, it's clean, it's professional, it's reliable, it gets results. And all that starts with a good email marketing list. So get off your Tweet Deck and take a look at the Top 10 ways you can build a revenue-generating email marketing list.

Life inside the box

In the four years that Traction's called Warehouse127 home, it still makes us blush when people walk through the garage door and tell us how cool of an office space we have. Same thing goes for people who stumble across us on the internet and let the world know they dig our digs . The latest case happened just this last week. Not only did they call us a "futuristic bomb shelter", they put us in the company of the Googles, Twitters and Facebooks of the world. Not a bad corner to be boxed into.

Our summer catch

At Traction, we love the summertime. Rays of sunshine burst into the warehouse, tornadoes go into hybernation, and good help comes cheap. Warehouse127, you see, is situated directly in the migratory path of a rare species of seasonal employee called Summertimus Internus, commonly known as the Summer Intern, and we just landed our first of the season. Her name's Lisa Watkins and she's an intern of the Account Service variety, indigenous to the north country of Stillwater. Zoology lessons aside, feel free to shoot her an email, just like you would a real 8-to-5 human being, and welcome her aboard.

SOME OF OUR LATEST AND GREATEST

Lovely Lyric

Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma might
only be a few hundred miles
(1,325 to be exact) away from
the bright lights of Broadway, but
their new Traction-designed and
developed website is enough to
convince us
that Lyric deserves
a spot right in the heart of the
Theatre District in Manhattan.

Looking sharp

From time to time, we play a little
a game called Pay It Social. The
point is to find a subject and give
them a social media pick-me-up.
For our latest charitable act, we
designed an ambient profile pic
for Gillette that really cuts into
Facebook. Now if they'd just throw
away that razor they're using now.

Infinity and beyond

Recently, a couple of us from
Traction hopped a flight to
El Paso, TX to answer a call of
courtship from Lacy & Co.,
El Paso's leading jeweler. Not
only did sparks fly, so did this
name and logo for their new
line of diamond engagement
rings. We love it times infinity.

Extracurricular activities

All work and no play makes Traction a dull boy, eh? That's why we mix work and play as much as possible by creating artwork and materials for the events we like to attend. Like the recent most successful Allied ARTini ever, the upcoming sold-out-of-200-tickets-in-less-than-6-hours IgniteOKC2, YWCA's upcoming Purple Sash, and the Bill Teegin's Golf Championship to name a few!
